One move, on every voice at once

This is the grid as written, flipped end to end.

The arrangement is a grid — one row per voice, one column per moment — so reversing it in time turns every row back to front at the same instant:

as-written:  lead 1 3 5 8 · 1 3 5 8     # the arpeggio climbs
             bass 1 · 1 · 1 · 1 ·       # root on the beat
reversed:    lead 8 5 3 1 · 8 5 3 1     # the same notes, now falling
             bass · 1 · 1 · 1 · 1       # root shifts off the beat

Flip the grid and the climbing lead descends, and the bass that landed on the beat now answers off it. Same two voices, same notes, nothing rebuilt — only their direction in time moved.

It’s the exact move you’d use to play a melody back to front. The difference is the scale: here the “notes” being reversed are a whole stack of voices, so what flips is the arrangement itself, all of it at once.
