A click that knows the downbeat
One row of clicks, four bars at 90 bpm. The numbers aren’t just hits — a 2
is an accented bar-downbeat, a 1 is a normal beat:
rows:
- click
body: |
click 2 . . . 1 . . . 1 . . . 1 . . . # 2 starts each bar
The click instrument reads that value and lifts the pitch on every 2, so
the start of each bar is unmistakable. Over the first bar a spoken voice
counts you in — “four, three, two, one” — because speech is just another
track, sounding right alongside the click.
